Addressing Examination-Related Concerns

Vidya University recognizes the importance of addressing student concerns and grievances, especially those related to examinations. To facilitate effective communication and resolution of issues, the university has established a dedicated Student Grievance Cell.

Purpose of the Grievance Cell
  • To provide a platform for students to voice their concerns and grievances related to examinations.
  • To investigate and address complaints in a timely and impartial manner.
  • To ensure fairness, transparency, and equity in the examination process.
  • To foster a positive and supportive learning environment.
Procedure for Redressal
  • Submission of Grievance
    • Students can submit their grievances in writing, either in person or through email, to the Grievance Cell.
    • The grievance should clearly state the nature of the problem, relevant details, and supporting documentation (if any).
  • Acknowledgment of Grievance
    • The Grievance Cell acknowledges the receipt of the grievance within a specified timeframe.
  • Resolution
    • Based on the findings of the investigation, the Grievance Cell takes appropriate action to resolve the grievance.
    • Possible actions may include:
      • Re-evaluation of answer scripts
      • Recalculation of marks
      • Correction of errors in the examination process
      • Taking disciplinary action against individuals responsible for misconduct
  • Communication of Resolution
    • The Grievance Cell communicates the outcome of the investigation and the resolution to the student in writing.
Steps for Student Grievance Redressal Process
  • Submit a Written Grievance: Clearly state the nature of the problem, relevant details, and supporting documentation.
  • Seek Clarification from Concerned Faculty: If possible, discuss the issue with the concerned faculty member to seek clarification.
  • Approach the Department Head: If the issue is not resolved, approach the department head to discuss the matter further.
  • Contact the Grievance Cell: If the issue remains unresolved, submit a formal written grievance to the Grievance Cell.
  • Await Investigation and Resolution: The Grievance Cell will investigate the matter and take appropriate action.
  • Review the Resolution: If the resolution is not satisfactory, the student may appeal the decision to a higher authority within the university.

By following these procedures and steps, students can effectively address their examination-related concerns and seek appropriate resolution.
