Program Overview

he Faculty of Applied Sciences offers a two post-graduate degree in Physics which seeks to impart within the students a comprehensive understanding of various particular elements. This postgraduate degree program takes a more research-based approach to they field as a way of providing students with in-depth expert insights. The growing significance of physics and science research in the welfare and development of humanity has been impacting and transforming the various socio-economic dynamics. The program provides the students with a comprehensive understanding of the various classes of physics from classical physics to quantum physics. To provide students with the much needed practical knowledge and understanding, the Faculty of Applied Sciences is equipped with state of the art facilities of researc h and experimentation. The students get to conduct a series of real-time real search based studies under the guidance of experts who have the know-how and the practical knowledge which is necessary to provide the student with the much-needed training. The student tailored curriculum of VIDYA University is designed in an interdisciplinary approach which allows students to apply fundamentals of physics to other related disciplines such as medicine and engineering. The program will develop the student’s understanding of key subjects like matter, optics, waves, electromagnetism and nuclear physics.

  • To retain the scholarship throughout the duration of the program, students must maintain a minimum academic performance of 8 CGPA in all semesters, ensure at least 80% attendance, and avoid any disciplinary issues during their course of study."

Candidate shall have passed 12th Examination in Science stream from a recognized board.

Selection will be based on merit of Class XII Best of 3 subjects score (comprising of Physics, Chemistry and Biology/Maths as compulsory subjects and any other subject with highest score)
