NCC
The National Cadet Corps is the Indian military cadet corps, Headquartered at New Delhi. It is open for school and college students on voluntary basis. The NCC is a voluntary organization which recruits cadets from high schools, colleges and Universities all over India. The Cadets are given basic military training in small arms and parades.
The activities may range anywhere from Republic Day Camp (RDC), Combined Annual Training Camps (CATC), National Integration Camp (NIC), Advance leadership course, Army Attachment Camp, Hiking And Trekking Camps, ThalSainik Camp (TSC), Vayu Sainik Camp (VSC), NauSainik Camp (NSC), All India Yachting Regatta (AIYR), Rock Climbing Camps (RCC), Naval Wing Activities, Air Wing Activities to Youth Exchange Programs.
NCC as its motto of Unity and Discipline was established in Vidya Knowledge Park in the year 2012 with a platoon of 54 cadets under 72 UP Battalion, Meerut. As NCC is known for its aim to develop character, discipline companionship, leadership, the quest for adventure and noble service amongst the youth of the country. In this small time period the cadets of Vidya Knowledge Park have landmarked some commendable achievements, have attended camp at Saharanpur, Hastinapur, etc and won over 30 medals in the various camps.
